Colossians 3:16-17 says, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, SINGING psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do all everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." These verses teach that music in the church should serve to deepen the impact of the gospel in the hearts, minds, and lives of Christians. Therefore, at Walnut Street, we sing songs that are biblically-faithful, theologically-rich, and gospel-centered.
We believe music is a gift from God that helps us express our worship to God, encourage other Christians, and extend the gospel to the world.
