A combined team of nine adults and students from Walnut Street BC had a wonderfully successful trip to Montrouis, Haiti from June 9-16th. Our team had the privilege to work with Crossings Camps Ministries on the beautiful Haitian coastline at Camp La Phare. The team participated in work projects as well as VBS with local churches.
It was a challenging but very rewarding time for us all as we prepared the way for over a thousand Haitian students to come and hear the Gospel at camp. For the Haitian students, attending camp will be a once in a lifetime experience, since most of them would not be able to afford such an opportunity. We were also able to worship with a local church and visit the Baptist Haiti Mission, which has served the people of Haiti for over 60 years. It was amazing to see what God is doing through these ministries and to serve the people of Haiti.
